Hello everyone and welcome to day 17! Today I wanted to do a quick post to tell you about and invite you to "A Vintage Christmas" at Highlands Church! I go to Highlands and this year, our Christmas program is called "A Vintage Christmas! Tomorrow Morning there are services at 9 and 11 am and I would love to see you there if you live in the Phoenix/ Scottsdale area! There are so many activities outside before the show. There are train rides, a petting zoo, a face painting station, an outside band, and many photo spots! Come on by and celebrate Jesus' birthday with us!
See you tomorrow! Truly, Taylor Hey all! Sorry that today is late but welcome to day 16! We had a Christmas party at my house so I decided to do today's post on cute Christmas party ideas for food and drinks! So, for drinks, you can't go wrong with lemonade and water. Water is a sure fire, crowd pleaser and lemonade is a good choice for everyone because you can please people who don't like soda. Next up! A fun way to do festive drinks is to have a hot cocoa bar. This is super easy and such a fun idea! This is also an area where you can get very creative and you can have candy canes, marshmallows of all shapes, sizes, and color and whatever extras you want. It is self-serve so it is so easy for a large party and who doesn't love cocoa? Then, grab your favorite bowls and fill with chips, or chocolate, or anything else that fits your fancy. I reccomend the Ghiradelli holiday mix. My favorite for Christmas is their peppermint bark. I hope that you enjoyed today's post and got some inspiration for your own parties! See you tomorrow!
Truly, Taylor Ah Christmastime! Also known as the time that everyone throws an ugly sweater themed party! Now, if you're like me, you don't like spending money on things you hate or will never wear. I often feel this way about "ugly" sweaters! I would rather get something that I think is still cute but maybe a bit "tacky" as opposed to ugly. I love spirit jerseys and try to get one whenever I go on a new trip. So of course, I had to grab this Christmas spirit jersey when I saw it on their website! I think that this is the perfect shirt to have for all of those parties because I actually like it and I know that I will wear it again! I got it from SpiritJersey.com and it is currently on clearance. Their shipping is very fast and if ordered in the next couple of days, I'm confident you would get it before Christmas! I love it and I have already gotten use out of it more than once this season! I am so excited to add it to my collection and if you've been on the hunt for the perfect party-wear, I hope you check this out! I will see you tomorrow for day 16!
Truly, Taylor Good Morning Friends! Let me start off by aplogizing for missing blogmas yesterday! I have tried so hard to be committed and ready to post each day and yesterday I dropped the ball. Yesterday I had work, and packing, and coming home for Christmas, and church, and rehearsal so I did not have time to write up a post. To remedy that, I will be doing two posts today! I hope you enjoy days 14 and 15! Today I am going to showcase my beauty of a friend, Rachel Bucek. Now, as I mentioned in my last post, I LOVE big, wide-brimmed hats; however, these are not everyone's cup of tea. Rachel was not so sure, but we tried out a big, floppy hat on her today and I thought it looked amazing! See... doesn't she look adorable! Anywho, I have had so many people come up to me when I am wearing one of my favorite hats and tell me that they wish they could pull it off! My response to that is always, "You pull off whatever you tell yourself you can!" I am so proud of Rachel for stepping out of her comfort zone and wearing this adorable hat today! For the look, Rachel wore some cuffed skinny jeans from American Eagle. The dark wash was a perfect pair for the dark grey, knitted sweater. Rachel is wearing a super cute, chunky knit sweater and I think that the solid, dark grey perfectly compliments the band of color on the hat! And at the bottom, I paired the jeans and sweater with some short, light brown combat boots!
I think that this look is super easy and casual and looks good with the hat or without it! I think that the hat adds a very fun and whimsical element to the look and if you don't own a floppy hat or haven't tried one, I definitely suggest it! Truly, Taylor |
